Homemade Lemon Jam without Peel: Delicate and Fragrant

This is the best time to prepare lemon jam without peel. Lemons are in season, fragrant, and juicy, and turning them into homemade jam is one of the tastiest ways to preserve all their aroma. I chose to completely remove the peel and white part, resulting in a more delicate, less bitter and very pleasant jam, perfect for breakfast, filling pastries or as a gift. A simple, natural, and truly satisfying recipe.

Sterilized jars

Steps

For the preparation of the lemon jam without peel watch the video HERE.

  • Wash the lemons very well. Completely remove the peel and all the white part, leaving only the pulp. Remove also the internal filaments and seeds, then cut the lemon pulp into pieces.

  • Place the lemons in a bowl, add the sugar, mix well and let rest in the refrigerator for a few hours.

  • In the meantime, clean the apple and cut it into pieces. After the resting time, add the apple to the lemons and transfer everything to a pot. Bring to the heat and cook over medium heat for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. At the end of cooking, you can: blend the jam for a smooth texture or leave it rustic, as it is.

  • When it reaches the desired consistency, pour the still hot jam into the sterilized jars, close tightly and turn upside down to create a vacuum seal. Let it cool completely.

  • 🍯 Final result

And here is a lemon jam without peel, delicate, fragrant, and natural, without bitter notes and with a balanced taste. Perfect on bread, toast, in yogurt, or for filling pies and homemade desserts.

Storage:

It keeps for several months in the pantry if the vacuum seal is successful

Once opened, store in the refrigerator and consume within 7-10 days
