Ingredients for homemade nocino liqueur:
- 1 cup pure alcohol
- 7 walnuts (Green walnut hulls)
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- lemon peel
Steps
The preparation of homemade nocino liqueur is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.
First, we need to wash and chop the walnut hulls (I recommend using gloves for this step to avoid staining your hands). Place them in a sealable glass jar. Add alcohol and lemon peel. Seal tightly and let macerate for about 40 days.
Shake the jar every day. After about 40 days, put the water and sugar in a saucepan and heat to dissolve the sugar, then let it cool.
In the meantime, strain the alcohol from the walnuts and combine it with the cold syrup. Pour it into sterilized glass bottles. Let it rest for about a week before enjoying.
Enjoy!
