Lemon Jam with Vanilla and Cinnamon

A fragrant jam made with untreated organic lemons and enriched with vanilla and cinnamon! A simple recipe to prepare and great to enjoy at any time, starting from breakfast, snack, or whenever we want a sweet treat. I must confess that among all citrus jams this is my favorite.

Ingredients for Lemon Jam with Vanilla and Cinnamon:

  • 1 lemons (Untreated)
  • 2 1/2 cups sugar
  • vanilla
  • cinnamon powder
  • baking soda
  • 2 1/2 cups water

Steps

The preparation of lemon jam with vanilla and cinnamon is very simple, watch the video HERE.

  • First, we need to wash the fruit with water and baking soda using a brush or a rough sponge. Then rinse them and slice them thinly.

  • Cover with cold water and then with plastic wrap. Store in the fridge for about 24 hours. Repeat the process the next day and wait another 24 hours.

  • After a total of 48 hours, drain the lemon slices and cook them for about 15 min in clean water.

  • Drain them and put them back in the pot. Add sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla to taste.

  • Cook for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then blend and cook for another 10 min.

  • Once the desired thickness is reached, put it in previously sterilized jars. Close and turn them upside down to create a vacuum effect. If you want to store it for a longer time, boil the jars for about 20 min.
