Orange and Lemon Jam with Peel
A fragrant jam made with citrus fruits, (in particular, I used organic untreated oranges and lemons). This is very important in this recipe since the peel is also used. A simple recipe to prepare that we can store or consume immediately. We can eat it as is with a simple slice of bread, use it in dessert and cake recipes, or pair it with cheese.

Ingredients for the orange and lemon peel jam:
- 1.1 oranges (Untreated)
- 1.1 lbs lemons (Untreated)
- 2.5 cups sugar
- baking soda
Steps
Preparing the orange and lemon peel jam is simple, watch the video HERE.
Start by washing the fruit thoroughly with water and baking soda using a sponge or brush. Peel as thinly as possible, avoiding the white part, which will be removed later, cut into pieces and remove any seeds.
Meanwhile, boil the peels for a few minutes, drain them and change the water. Repeat the process 3 times.
After blanching them 3 times, chop them into small pieces. In a saucepan, place the chopped fruit, sugar, chopped peels, and cook for about 45 minutes.
Remove the foam and stir occasionally. Once it reaches the desired density, place it in sterilized jars. Seal well and turn them upside down to create a vacuum seal.
If you want to store them longer, boil the jars again for about 20 minutes.
Enjoy!
