Panettone Salami

Panettone Salami

After Epiphany, I had some leftover panettone, so I made a sweet salami! A very simple recipe to prepare with just a few ingredients that we all have in our pantries. A panettone salami that we can enjoy as a dessert at the end of a meal, as a snack, or whenever we crave something tasty.

If you have leftover panettone or pandoro, don’t throw them away but try using them to make these treats:

  • Difficulty: Very Easy
  • Cost: Very Cheap
  • Rest time: 2 Hours
  • Preparation time: 20 Minutes
  • Portions: 10/12
  • Cooking methods: No Cooking
  • Cuisine: Italian
  • Seasonality: Epiphany, Christmas

Ingredients for Panettone Salami:

  • 14 oz panettone
  • 4 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • cup milk
  • cup butter
  • rum flavoring
  • hazelnut crumbs

Steps

The preparation of panettone salami is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.

  • Put the chopped panettone, cocoa, rum flavoring, melted butter, milk, and mix. Add hazelnut crumbs or other nuts if desired and blend.

  • Place the mixture on cling film and shape it into a compact roll. Tightly close the film by twisting the ends and put it in the fridge for a few hours. After a few hours, remove the film, and sprinkle some powdered sugar on top.

  • cut into slices.

  • Enjoy your meal!
