Ingredients for the plum jam:
- 2 lbs plums
- 3.5 cups sugar
- 1 lemon
Steps
The preparation of plum jam is very simple, watch the video HERE.
First, we need to thoroughly wash the fruit then clean it and remove the pits. We cut it into pieces in a pan. Add the sugar (the amount may vary based on the sweetness of the plums, so you can increase by 100g if the fruit is not very sweet). Add the squeezed lemon juice and bring it to the heat. Cook on low heat until the desired thickness is reached (about an hour). Stir occasionally.
Remove the foam. Once the desired thickness is reached, pour it immediately into previously sterilized jars. Close
Turn them upside down to create a vacuum seal.
If you want to store it for a long time, you can put the jars in the oven at 250°F for about 20 minutes or reboil them!
Enjoy your meal!
