Plum Tart with Custard
A delicious tart made with plums and custard! The tart is the perfect dessert for any time, starting from breakfast to dessert after meals. The nice thing is that it can be filled in many ways (jams, creams, fruits, etc). A very simple recipe to prepare! I chose to use canned plums but alternatively, fresh plums work just fine!

Steps
For the preparation of the plum tart with custard watch the video HERE.
Base preparation:
We put the flour, sugar, butter, vanilla, a pinch of salt, and start working it with our hands. Add the eggs
Knead until you get a homogeneous dough. Divide it into two parts (one about 1/4 and the other 3/4), wrap it in plastic wrap and place the larger piece in the refrigerator and the smaller piece in the freezer for about 30 minutes. After about 30 min, take the larger piece from the fridge.
Roll it out on a sheet of parchment paper. It should be slightly larger than the size of the pan. Prick the shortcrust and place it in the buttered pan.
Arrange well and remove the excess shortcrust. Prick the bottom again. If using canned plums, let the liquid drain
then place them on the bottom. Add the custard on top. Sprinkle and level it. Take the small piece of shortcrust from the freezer.
Grate it over. Bake at 356°F for about 40/50 minutes.
Enjoy your meal!
