Another appetizer with a Christmas theme, very simple and quick to prepare that does not require cooking. Trees made with sandwich bread and olive mousse then covered with wild fennel and decorated with pink peppercorns and red currants!!! They are really very, very cute to bring to the table for Christmas lunch, the Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve dinner! If you want, you can prepare more flavors using various creams or sauces to taste!

Ingredients for Savory Christmas Trees:

  • 3.5 oz sandwich bread
  • 2.5 oz Olive Mousse
  • pink peppercorns
  • wild fennel
  • red currants
  • crackers

Steps

The preparation of the Savory Christmas Trees is very simple and quick and does not require cooking, watch the video HERE.

  • First, finely chop the sandwich bread and mix it with the olive mousse, stirring well to obtain a soft and homogeneous mixture. Take some of the mixture with your hands and form cones. Use half a cracker to form the base. Continue like this until the mixture is used up.

  • Cover them with pieces of wild fennel to obtain our trees. Once covered, place the pink peppercorns on top as if they were colorful balls! Finally, place the currants on the tips.

  • Enjoy your meal!
