Steps
For the preparation of simple appetizers with puff pastry watch the video HERE.
Open the roll of puff pastry and cut out shapes with a cookie cutter. Remove excess pastry. On some circles make small cuts and then cut them in half.
If you want them a little chubbier, instead of cutting them, fold them in half. Brush them with a bit of milk then sprinkle some poppy seeds on top. Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes.
Roll out the leftover pastry and form small trees using molds. Brush them with a bit of milk then sprinkle some pecorino/parmigiano on top.
If desired, you can add sauces to taste. With the remaining dough, you can make small balls by adding a bit of olives. Bake at 350°F for about 20 minutes. Once well cooled, open them.
Then fill them to taste.
