Strawberry and Lemon Jam

A jam full of memories and love because I personally picked the strawberries from my mother’s garden, so I am sure they are 100% organic with zero treatments ☺️. After many years, I was able to smell the strawberries scent I experienced as a child because the strawberries I buy nowadays have nothing to do with these! Well, let’s say I’m very proud 😁! I chose to flavor it with lemon, zest, and juice because in my opinion, the strawberry and lemon combination is the best!!!

Ingredients for the Strawberry and Lemon Jam:

  • 6.6 lbs strawberries
  • 2 lemons (Untreated)
  • 2.2 lbs sugar

Steps

  • First, we wash and clean the strawberries. Add the sugar, grated lemon zest, lemon juice,

  • mix and let it rest for at least 30 minutes. Then, bring it to the stove and cook for about 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Remove the foam and continue cooking.

  • Once the desired thickness is reached, immediately put it in previously sterilized jars. Seal tightly and turn them upside down to create a vacuum seal.

  • If you want to store it longer, re-boil the jars for about 20 minutes.

  • Enjoy your meal!
