- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 7 oz cooked ham
- 7 oz scamorza cheese
- 3 oz butter
- 1 tsp sugar
- 0.35 oz fresh yeast
- salt
Steps
For the preparation of the stuffed savory donuts watch the video HERE.
We put the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and start kneading. Add the milk gradually
knead for about 10 min. Then add the cold butter and continue kneading until it is fully incorporated. Transfer it to a bowl,
cover and let rise until doubled in volume. After about an hour, cut it into smaller pieces (of the desired size) and roll out one piece at a time with a bit of oil.
Make cuts on one side and place the cooked ham and scamorza on the other. Roll it up
seal the ends to form a donut (watch the video). Continue the same way with the others. If needed, make a few more cuts. Brush with a little milk
sprinkle some poppy seeds on top, let rise for another 30 min, then bake at 350°F for about 30/40 min
Enjoy your meal!
