Suberek (Chebureki) are dumplings made with a dough of water, flour, and salt, without yeast. The filling is made with a mix of minced meat, spices, and onion then they are fried in oil. A typical recipe from Turkey but known throughout Europe. A delicious and very simple recipe that can be served as an appetizer, aperitif, etc.

Ingredients for suberek (Chebureki)
- 2 cups flour
- salt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- cup water
- lb ground veal (Or mixed)
- 1 onion
- salt
- pepper
- as needed water
- mint (Optional)
Steps

Dough preparation:
In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, water, and oil, then combine and knead until you get a smooth dough.
Cover with plastic wrap and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
Filling preparation:
Chop the onion and add it to the meat, season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add a bit of water and mix well. After about 10 minutes, take the dough and divide it into 9/10 equal pieces.
Roll out one piece at a time using a bit of flour to make it easier. Place a teaspoon of filling and spread it over half, fold to form a pocket and seal.
Cut and seal the edges well to prevent the filling from spilling out during cooking. Proceed with the rest until all the ingredients are used up. Once ready, fry them in hot oil for a few minutes on both sides.
