Steps

The preparation of Sweet Puff Pastry Christmas Cones is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.

  • Prepare the cones
Cut the puff pastry into strips about 0.6-0.8 inches wide.
Wrap each strip around the cone molds, starting from the tip and slightly overlapping the edges.
Place the cones on a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Brush with milk (or water) and add colored sprinkles or crushed nuts as desired.
Bake in a preheated static oven at 356 °F for about 15-18 minutes, until they are golden and crispy.
Let them cool and carefully remove the molds.

  • Prepare the filling
Whip the cream with sugar, mascarpone, and vanilla. Add the jam and mix.
Fill the cones with the cream using a piping bag.
    Decorate with powdered sugar!

💡 Tips and Variations:

Storage
Empty cones: store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days to keep them crispy.
Filled cones: fill them right before serving to prevent the puff pastry from softening.
If there are leftovers, keep them in the fridge for a maximum of 24 hours, but the puff pastry will lose some crispness.
Filling Variations
Decadent: fill the cones with whipped cream and Nutella or pistachio cream.
Classic: use custard or chantilly with fresh berries.
Chocolatey: add unsweetened cocoa to mascarpone and cream for a chocolate mousse.
Super Quick: fill them with hazelnut spread, dust with powdered sugar, and serve.
Decorative Ideas
Dip the rim of the cones in melted chocolate and then in crushed pistachios or hazelnuts.
Use colored sprinkles or Christmas-themed sugars for a “wow” effect on the holiday table.
Serve them on a cake stand with pine branches and red berries for a super festive setting.
