Whole Wheat Fig Cake
A delicious cake made with whole wheat flour and fresh figs in a vegan version, without using milk, eggs, or butter. Since figs are starting to come out, I recommend trying this recipe. Ingredients for Whole Wheat Fig Cake:
- 10.5 oz figs (Fresh)
- 2.8 oz sugar
- Half lemon
- 1.5 cups whole wheat flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup plant milk
- 2.1 oz potato starch
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 tsp baking soda

In a pan, place the cleaned and sliced figs, the juice of half a lemon, the sugar, and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Once it reaches a dense consistency, turn off the heat and let it cool.
Cake preparation:
In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, and baking soda. Add the oil and plant milk
and mix. Add the potato starch and blend. Pour the obtained mixture into a mold of your choice. Add the previously prepared fig mixture on top.
Bake at 356°F for about 40 minutes.
