Zucchini and Ham Swirls
A simple and very quick recipe to prepare on any day of the week! A puff pastry base covered with mascarpone, zucchini, cooked ham and scamorza, a delight! If you need a tasty recipe to bring to the table as an appetizer or aperitif, try these swirls. Ingredients for zucchini and ham swirls:
- 1 puff pastry
- 3.5 oz cooked ham
- 3.5 oz scamorza
- salt
- 2 zucchini
- 3.5 oz mascarpone
Steps
The preparation of zucchini and ham swirls is very simple and quick, watch the video HERE.
First, we need to wash and cut off the ends of the zucchini, then grate them. Add a bit of salt, mix, and let rest for about 15 min. Open the puff pastry and spread the mascarpone on top.
Add the squeezed zucchini on top, then lay slices of cooked ham and scamorza cheese, and roll it up. Wrap the roll in parchment paper and place it in the freezer for about 30 min.
After about 30 min, take the roll and cut it into thick slices. Place them upside down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 392°F for about 20 min.
