Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- zest of 1 lemon
- 1 packet baking powder
- as needed peanut oil
- 3/4 cup raisins (optional)

Preparation
Gradually combine the salt, lemon zest, milk in a stream, and flour a little at a time;
Mix with a spatula and blend everything. Add raisins if you like. Add the baking powder and continue mixing;
Heat the oil in a large pan and immerse the dough by spoonfuls;
Fry for a few minutes and turn them over until they are puffed up and golden;
With a skimmer place them on absorbent paper;
Dust with powdered sugar;
Serve
If there are leftovers, store in a tightly closed container for 1 day.
