  • 18 oz chestnuts, dried
  • 2/3 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons rum
  • 12 amaretti
  • 3/4 water

Preparation

  • Place the chestnuts in the pressure cooker with cold water and a pinch of salt;

    Add the butter at room temperature, powdered sugar, cocoa, and 2 tablespoons of rum;

    Mix well and divide the mixture into 3 parts;

    Line a 7-inch wide and 3.5-inch high mold with moistened parchment paper;

    On the bottom, place a layer of chestnuts, then the crumbled amaretti soaked with the remaining rum;

    Repeat the layers twice and finish with the chestnuts, leveling them well;

    Put the dessert in the fridge or in a cool place for at least a couple of hours;

    After resting, place the dessert on a serving plate and remove the parchment paper;

    Dust the dessert with powdered sugar, more cocoa, or sprinkle it with chocolate granules or chocolate fondue.
