Cinnamon Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk (warm)
  • 2.5 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1.5 tbsp water

Preparation

  • In a separate bowl, place the flour, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, and mix;

    Once the yeast is activated, add to the bowl of dry ingredients the melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract;

    Mix with electric beaters until you get a soft and homogeneous dough;

    Let the dough rest for a couple of hours covered with a kitchen towel in a cool and dry place;

    Meanwhile, for the filling, mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and add the softened butter to create a cream by mixing;

    After rising time, place the dough on a lightly floured surface and roll it into a rectangular shape;

    Fill the surface of the dough with the cinnamon butter cream;

    Slightly fold the top edge and gradually roll the dough lengthwise;

    Compact the dough roll and cut with a knife into 1.18 in thick rolls;

    Place them in a greased baking tray, leaving a little space between them;

    Bake in a static oven for 25/30 minutes at 356°F;

Once baking is finished, let cool for a few minutes;

For the glaze mix powdered sugar and water in a bowl until you get a smooth glaze;

With a spoon or a spatula, spread the glaze over the surface of the cinnamon rolls;

The cinnamon rolls are ready!
