There are several variations of Chickpea Patties, such as those with ricotta or tuna… mine are made with potatoes and cheese.
The Easy Chickpea Patties Recipe is delicious, and once made, you’ll want to make them again.
For this vegetarian recipe, I use canned chickpeas, but if you prefer dried ones, remember to soak them with a pinch of baking soda overnight.

Ingredients
- 9 oz chickpeas (Canned)
- 7 oz potatoes (Boiled)
- 3.5 oz Grana cheese (Grated)
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- to taste breadcrumbs
- to taste olive oil
- 1 sprig rosemary

Preparation
In the meantime, boil the potatoes;
Drain the chickpeas once cooked, and the same for the potatoes;
Mash the potatoes and blend the chickpeas;
In a bowl, add the chickpeas and potatoes;
Add salt, pepper, and grated cheese. Mix;
Sprinkle with breadcrumbs to obtain a compact mixture;
Knead and form the patties;
In a pan with a drizzle of oil, cook both sides until golden brown;
Serve hot or warm.
