Mulled wine is a warm drink based on red wine enriched with orange and lemon peels, apple, cinnamon, star anise, cloves, and nutmeg.
The first time I tasted mulled wine was at the Christmas markets in Arezzo.
What beautiful memories!
There were stalls with roasted chestnuts, pretzels, apple strudel, and then the hot mulled wine that helped fight the low temperatures.
Speaking of strudel, here’s the link to my recipe: Smart Apple Strudel Recipe it’s worth a look because it’s really good and easy to prepare. It’s popular on YouTube!
