Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (rectangular)
  • Renette apples
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup pine nuts (or walnuts)
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsps sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsps butter
  • to taste powdered sugar

Preparation

  • Soak the raisins in cold water for a few minutes;

    Peel the apples and cut them into pieces in a bowl;

    Pour the juice of 1/2 lemon and the sugar;

    Add the pine nuts and squeezed raisins;

    Sprinkle with cinnamon and mix well;

    Let it flavor for a few minutes;

    In a pan, melt the butter and toast the breadcrumbs;

    Roll out the puff pastry and distribute the breadcrumbs in the center;

    Pour the apple filling;

    Roll the strudel onto itself, from the longer side;

    Seal the sides well;

    Place the strudel on a baking sheet with parchment paper;

    In a static oven at 375°F for 35 minutes;

    At the end, sprinkle with powdered sugar;

    Let it cool before cutting.
