Storage
Crispy ham rolls should be eaten fresh.
You can freeze them, already prepared for cooking.
Tips
Stringy ham rolls can be stuffed with any type of string cheese, choose your favorite or use what you have available.
If the ham slices have imperfections, such as holes or irregular cuts, you can patch them with other ham slices or fold them over themselves.
You can choose both the type of mushrooms and how to flavor them: you can sauté them with garlic, onion, parsley, herbs, etc.
If you’re not worried about calories, you can add béchamel in the center and complete the breading with parmesan and drizzle the rolls with extra virgin olive oil before baking them.
You can fry them, in this case, I recommend double breading and closing the ends well to prevent leaking.
