Storage
Storage
The shrimp cocktail can be stored in the fridge for one day in a well-sealed container, even though the sauce tends to dry out.
Tips
In the ’80s, the shrimp cocktail was served in Martini glasses, today it is preferred to use small cups or trays to serve oneself independently.
You can use both larger shrimp and smaller shrimp.
It’s best to use fresh shrimp, but if unavailable, frozen ones are also fine.
Once blanched, you can choose to season the shrimp with oil, lemon, salt, and pepper.
The amount of mayonnaise, ketchup, and Worchestershire sauce depends on your taste: taste and adjust as you prefer.
You can enrich your cocktail sauce with Tabasco, brandy or cognac, mustard, coriander.
You can choose to leave the lettuce leaves whole and use them as a bed to lay your shrimp in pink sauce.
