Today I want to propose the recipe for Savory Cheesecake with Ham Roses. It’s a delicious and very scenic appetizer, perfect for important occasions like Easter, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve. A cold savory pie that is quick and easy to make. You should know that I love preparing appetizers and I can always amaze my guests with little effort. Just a bit of creativity and you’re all set! Speaking of which, I recommend checking out my Savory Pie with Mortadella and Ricotta Mousse or the various sandwich cakes: the one with cheese and cold cuts, with Russian salad, with tuna and salmon, the capricciosa or the floral sandwich cake. Ingredients for the Savory Cheesecake with Ham Roses
- 12.35 oz ricotta (weight of the well-drained product)
- 5.3 oz crackers
- 3.5 oz butter
- 3.5 oz prosciutto
- 9 quail eggs
- 7 oz spreadable fresh cheese
- 0.35 oz chopped pistachios
- to taste valerian (lamb's lettuce)

- 1 Springform Pan
- 1 Bowl
- Parchment Paper
- 1 Food Processor
- 1 Small Pan
Steps for the Savory Cheesecake with Ham Roses
For preparing this cheese savory pie, start by cooking the quail eggs, which should be boiled for 4 minutes.
Once cooked, plunge the eggs into ice water. The thermal shock will make the shell easy to remove.
Put the butter in a small pan and let it melt over low heat, or melt it in the microwave.
Chop the crackers with a food processor and place them in a bowl. Add the butter and mix with a fork.
Line both the bottom and the sides of a 6-inch springform pan and pour in the cracker and butter mixture.
Level with the back of a spoon, pressing slightly. Refrigerate for half an hour or freeze for 15 minutes.
For the cheese cream, the ricotta must be very dry. Place it in a sieve and refrigerate overnight.
This operation should be done at least 1 day before preparing the cheesecake.
In a bowl, combine the ricotta and spreadable cheese and mix well with a fork.
Take the cracker and butter base out of the fridge and spread the cheese on top, leveling it well with a spatula or the back of a spoon.
Unmold the savory cheesecake. Sprinkle chopped pistachios on top and place quail eggs, halved lengthwise, around the perimeter.
Add valerian leaves all around, pressing them lightly into the cheese to adhere.
Place the roses, made simply with slices of prosciutto, in the center of the cheese pie.
To create a contrast between the ham roses, insert some leaves; in this case, I preferred to add fennel fronds.
Refrigerate for at least an hour before serving the cheese cheesecake.
