Today I want to offer you a main course that is truly delicious: Stewed Turkey with Potatoes and Peas. It’s a fairly simple preparation, but with a rich taste. It reminds me of another recipe that we love very much in our family: Grandma’s Stew, which needs to cook longer. These turkey bites with potatoes and peas, however, don’t require a long cooking time, so in just over half an hour, you can serve them. Bringing this dish to the table when the temperatures start to drop will feel like the warmth of home and family for everyone.

Ingredients for Stewed Turkey with Potatoes and Peas
- 1.32 lbs turkey (Breast or thigh)
- 1.32 lbs potatoes
- 5.29 oz frozen peas
- to taste flour
- 2.12 oz onion
- 2/3 cup water (or vegetable broth)
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 1 bunch parsley
Tools Needed for Stewed Turkey with Potatoes and Peas
- 1 Cutting board
- 1 Pan
- 1 Knife
- 1 Wooden spoon
Procedure for Stewed Turkey with Potatoes and Peas
For this recipe, I used a turkey thigh, which I deboned and cut into small pieces. If preferred, you can also use breast.
After cutting the meat into pieces, coat it in flour, previously placed on a plate, and flour it well on all sides.
Clean an onion and cut it into small cubes. Place a large enough pan on the heat, which can contain both the meat and the potatoes, and pour the oil into it. In the absence of a pan, a pot can be used.
Let it heat well, then add the onion and let it wilt over moderate heat. Next, toss in the pieces of meat and brown, turning on all sides.
Add the water or vegetable broth and let it come back to a boil. Meanwhile, peel, wash, and dry the potatoes and cut them into medium pieces.
Add them to the meat and immediately after, add the frozen peas. Season with salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Stir and cover with the lid, reducing the flame and stirring occasionally.
If, before the potatoes are fully cooked, the cooking broth dries up too much, add a little more. Thanks to the flour, the preparation will be creamy.
When the potatoes are cooked and the sauce has thickened, turn off the heat. Place the Turkey with potatoes and peas on a serving dish and serve hot.
If desired, you can add another sprinkle of freshly ground pepper and a few more chopped parsley leaves.
Enjoy your meal!
