Glazed Sacher Truffles, a delicious and indulgent dessert. A very easy recipe: I used cocoa cookies I had in the pantry, crushed them, added apricot jam, and then made the truffles. While they were firming up in the fridge, I melted the dark chocolate and then glazed them to make them even more beautiful.
I can’t tell you how impressed everyone was, in fact, they were greatly appreciated by my family and devoured in one bite.
They are an absolute must-try, I called them glazed Sacher truffles because the taste reminds me of the Sacher torte, my favorite cake!
So, have I piqued your interest? Tie on your apron and let’s prepare them together!
Kisses, Susy!

Ingredients for Glazed Sacher Truffles
- 8.8 oz cocoa cookies
- 7.1 oz apricot jam
- 4.2 oz 60% dark chocolate
Tools
- Food Processor
- Parchment Paper
How to Make Glazed Sacher Truffles
Start the recipe by crushing the cookies in a food processor, then place them in a bowl. Add the apricot jam and mix well to make the mixture uniform.
When the dough is ready, take small pieces, roll them between your hands, and form balls about the size of a walnut. Place the balls on a plate and refrigerate for half an hour to firm up well.
Meanwhile, melt the chocolate in a double boiler or microwave. Remove the truffles from the fridge and, one by one, dip them into the melted chocolate, letting them drain well with the help of two spoons or two forks, and place them on a plate. Let the glaze dry, and then decorate the truffles with the help of a parchment paper cone.
Storage
Store the Sacher truffles in the fridge, well sealed in an airtight container, for 2–3 days. They are also perfect to prepare in advance… although, in practice, they always disappear much sooner.
FAQs
Can I roll them in cocoa without glazing them?
Of course, you can! But the glaze is important because the Sacher torte is glazed!
