Pandoro Swirls – Super Easy Recipe

Pandoro swirls – super easy recipe, are a wonderful alternative to serve pandoro differently at the table but also a great recycling idea!
It’s a delicious and simple recipe, like the pandoro cannoli with ricotta, and I’m sure everyone, young and old, will love them.
Furthermore, they are very easy to prepare, and with only 4 ingredients, you will be able to prepare a beautiful and delicious Christmas treat. I filled the swirls with mascarpone and Nutella; if you want a crunchy effect, you can also add some hazelnut granules or sprinkle the surface, after dipping it in chocolate, with some shredded coconut or sprinkles.
In short, let your imagination run free, and what else to say? They are absolutely worth making!
See you soon, Susy.

Ingredients for the Pandoro Swirls – Super Easy Recipe

  • 1 pandoro
  • 1 cup cup mascarpone
  • 7 oz oz hazelnut spread (or Nutella)
  • 5 oz oz dark chocolate at 65%

Steps

  • In a bowl, place the mascarpone and the hazelnut spread or Nutella and mix well until the cream is smooth.
Cut the pandoro into 4 slices and remove a bit of crust from the two ends. Use a rolling pin to slightly flatten them, and without exaggerating, spread the cream on each slice, roll them up, and wrap them in plastic wrap. Place the rolls in the refrigerator for about half an hour or in the freezer for 15 minutes.
Once well chilled, remove the plastic wrap and cut into slices about 1.18 inches thick. Melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave, dip one side of each slice, and let them dry on a rack, keeping the dipped side up.

I recommend letting them dry in the refrigerator, so in less than half an hour, the pandoro swirls will be ready to enjoy.

Storage

The pandoro swirls can be stored in the refrigerator, sealed in a food container, for up to 3 days. You can freeze them, sealed in a food bag, for up to a month.
