Puff Pastry and Ladyfingers Pockets

These puff pastry and ladyfingers pockets filled with Nutella are a real treat, and they’re so easy and quick to make. In fact, in less than half an hour you can prepare a perfect little sweet for a snack or morning breakfast. I had an open packet of ladyfingers from the last tiramisu I made, so I started looking for a hassle-free recipe to use them up and found these delicious pockets, well, I fell in love with them immediately and of course I said to myself: This recipe is a must-try!

The process is simple, if you don’t have time to make puff pastry at home, you can buy it ready-made, create four rectangles, place the ladyfingers soaked in milk, fill them with Nutella, fold into a pocket shape, then bake in the oven at 392°F for about 20 minutes.

Let me know if you liked the recipe! See you soon, Susy.

Ingredients for 4 Puff Pastry and Ladyfingers Pockets

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 8 ladyfingers
  • as needed Nutella®
  • as needed milk (to brush the surface)

How to Make Puff Pastry and Ladyfingers Pockets

  • The process is easy and quick so I immediately preheat the oven to 392°F.

I unroll the puff pastry, use a pastry wheel or a knife to divide it into four rectangles. On half of each rectangle, I make three small central cuts. I soak two ladyfingers and place them on the uncut side, add a couple of teaspoons of Nutella on top, and fold the puff pastry rectangle over itself, sealing the edges well with a fork. Bake at 392°F for about 15-20 minutes, until golden. Once cooked, let them cool, dust with powdered sugar, and then… they won’t last long! 😉
