The apple cinnamon muffins are so good, soft, and fragrant that they always disappear quickly at home! I love making them especially in the fall, when the aroma of cinnamon fills the kitchen and creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
These muffins are super soft and wholesome, perfect for breakfast in the morning with a cup of milk or for a healthy snack that children also love. We like them because they combine the sweetness of apples with the spicy note of cinnamon, a combination that never tires.

To make them even more fragrant, I also added the juice and zest of an orange: the result was surprising, the muffins came out very soft and were liked by the whole family. And if you like soft fruit treats, try the blueberry and yogurt muffins, another very easy recipe that everyone always loves.

Ingredients for Apple Cinnamon Muffins
- 2 Golden Delicious apples (medium size)
- 2 cups cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cup sugar
- 3/4 cup cup low-fat milk
- 3 tbsp tbsp butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 packet baking powder
- 1 orange (juiced)
- 1 orange zest (grated)
You Will Need
- Muffin Pan 12 pieces
- Bowls
- Cupcake Liners
Preparing Apple Cinnamon Muffins
1. Preheat the oven to 428°F.
2. Peel the apples, remove the core, and cut them into small pieces. Place them in a bowl with the orange juice and set aside.
3. Melt the butter in a double boiler or microwave, being careful not to burn it, and let it cool slightly.
4. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, grated orange zest, cinnamon, and sugar. Mix with a spatula.
5. In another bowl, lightly beat the eggs with a whisk, then add milk and cooled melted butter.
6. Combine the two mixtures and add the apples. Quickly mix the batter.
7. Use two spoons to fill the cupcake liners up to ¾ of their capacity.
8. Bake in the oven at 428°F for 15–20 minutes.
Once baked, leave the muffins to cool in the turned-off oven, with the door slightly open, for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack.
Storage and Useful Tips
The apple cinnamon muffins stay soft for 2–3 days under a cake dome or in an airtight container at room temperature. If you want to keep them longer, you can freeze them once cooled: when needed, just let them thaw at room temperature or warm them slightly in the oven to restore all their softness.
You can also make them in advance and store them in the fridge for 1–2 days, then warm them for a few minutes in the oven or air fryer to make them fragrant again.
For a freshness effect, add a few drops of lemon juice to the batter along with the apples.
If you want a gluten-free version, replace the flour with a certified gluten-free mix for desserts.
You can enrich them with chocolate chips or chopped nuts for an even tastier flavor.
For a quick version, try the apple muffins in the air fryer: reduce the temperature to 356°F and bake for about 12–15 minutes.
