Spider Web Tart

The spider web tart is the ideal treat to celebrate Halloween with kids. This fantastic and scenic tart recipe is highly tested; in fact, I prepare it every year for the costume party.

This recipe is super delicious and super easy! I have photographed the various steps and even created a video tutorial to show you the extreme simplicity of this tart, loved by both kids and adults.

Well, here is the recipe. Follow me on my Facebook page, on my Instagram profile, and check out my YouTube channel for a greeting and a comment.

Ingredients for the spider web tart

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 9 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 orange zest (grated)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch baking powder
  • 21 oz Nutella®

Tools

  • Pan tart pan 11 inches

Preparing the spider web tart

  • In a bowl, I put all the ingredients and start kneading to create a homogeneous dough. I wrap the shortcrust pastry in parchment paper and let it rest in the fridge for at least a couple of hours. After the resting time, I roll it out on the pastry board, place it on an 11-inch pan, pour the hazelnut cream, and start creating the web and Mr. Spider.

  • With the leftover shortcrust, I create 4 cords and place them on the tart.

  • Then I make more (for my tart I made 16) and place them in arcs in each segment obtained; finally, Mr. Spider. 🕷

And voila! The spider web tart is ready!!!

  • I cover the tart with a sheet of aluminum foil and bake it at 350°F for 20 minutes. Then I remove the foil and continue baking for another 10 minutes. I take it out of the oven and let it cool completely. I place it on a nice plate and then create a spooky atmosphere, and have fun 🎃

Storage

You can store the tart for at least 4 days in a cool, dry place. Surely it won’t be necessary because it will be devoured quickly!
