Vanilla cupcakes, are delicious treats that originated in America at the end of the 1700s. The name means cup and cake because the cup was the unit of measurement used at that time. Making cupcakes is very fun because we can get creative, creating fillings according to our taste and coloring them as we like for any occasion such as Halloween, Carnival, and Christmas. The recipe I propose is simple and quick, they are chocolate-flavored, and I decorated them with frosting cream.
Let’s discover the recipe, see you soon.

Vanilla cupcake ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 3 tbsps unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsps milk
- 1 vanilla bean (seeds)
- 2/3 cup butter
- Half packet baking powder
- 7 oz cream cheese
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/3 cup sugar
Tools
- Baking tray for 12 muffins
- Piping bag
Vanilla cupcake preparation
I preheat the oven to 355°F. In a bowl, I work with an electric whisk, the butter cut into pieces with the sugar and the seeds of the vanilla bean, making the mixture foamy. Then I add one egg at a time, making sure the first one is well absorbed.
Next, I add the sifted flour and baking powder to obtain a smooth and homogeneous dough, then incorporate the milk. I mix well and then fill the muffin cups two-thirds full and bake for about 20 minutes.
In a bowl with an electric whisk, I whip the cream, making sure the cream is very cold, so keep it in the fridge in the coldest part for at least a day.
In another bowl, I mix the sugar with the cream cheese. Then I combine the two mixtures and mix well.
Well, our frosting cream is ready. Now I proceed with the piping bag to decorate the cupcakes
Storage and tips
Store them in the refrigerator for up to two days in a food container.
You can find commercial paper or plastic cupcake or muffin boxes for transport, and those made of plastic are perfect for storing them in the refrigerator.
