The wine chocolate cookies made with simple and natural ingredients, are egg-free and butter-free, just like the traditional wine cookies and needless to say they are delicious and addictive!
The recipe is very easy and quick, the dark chocolate chips with red wine are a perfect combination, making them tasty and perfect for enjoying throughout the day or at breakfast in the morning.
Every year for Christmas I prepare them and gift them to friends and family with great success, because besides being a delicious treat they are also a beautiful gift idea, in fact I prepare beautiful packaged gifts, which I personalize for each of them including a bag of tea or fruit tisane. Isn’t it a wonderful idea? Well, let’s move on to the recipe and get to work foodies!

Ingredients for wine chocolate cookies
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sunflower oil
- 1/2 cup red wine
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp sugar
Tools
- Baking sheet (oven)
- Bowl
I prepare the wine chocolate cookies
In a bowl I put the wine, oil, and sugar and whisk well with a fork. Then I add the sifted flour, baking powder, and finally the chocolate chips.
I form a ball, wrap it in a sheet of cling film, and let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes.
After that, on a lightly floured work surface, I take pieces of dough, work it a bit between my hands, roll it, create a long strip, and join the ends together, pressing them well. The cookie is ready, I roll it in sugar and continue until the dough is finished.
I place the cookies with the sugared side facing up on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure to space them well because they will grow a little.
Bake at 392°F (200°C) for about 25/30 minutes, the cooking time is indicative and varies from oven to oven!
Our wine chocolate cookies are ready, I let them cool before serving.
Storage
We can store the cookies for a long time well closed in a tin box for cookies and enjoy them with a coffee or at breakfast!
