Wine Doughnuts: easy, crunchy and fragrant recipe are typical cookies of the Roman tradition, crunchy outside and crumbly inside, perfect to enjoy at any time of the day. They are butter-free, egg-free, and yeast-free: a light and fragrant recipe that is prepared in minutes with simple ingredients.
Dunk them in milk for breakfast or accompany them with a glass of wine after a meal, these doughnuts are always very appreciated. Everyone at home loves them: they disappear in moments and are also ideal to give as gifts or serve after dinner.
You can flavor them with anise seeds or enrich them with chocolate chips to make them even more delicious. While often prepared at Christmas, they are perfect at any time of the year. Over time, I have perfected this recipe to get wine doughnuts even crunchier outside and crumbly inside, just as tradition demands.
Well, let’s move on to the recipe!
