Oven-baked sausage with potatoes, onions and lemon, a delicious main course. Sausage can be cooked in a thousand ways and it is always delicious, breaded and fried in a pan, or in sauce on festive days, but also baked with potatoes or baked “alla boscaiola” or baked with potatoes and cardoncelli. In no time it solves dinner and makes everyone happy! A few days ago I wanted to try a slightly different and original recipe, so to the usual ingredients of oven-baked sausage with potatoes and onions I also added some lemon slices, obtaining a dish as simple as it is tasty!! Ingredients to make oven-baked sausage with potatoes and onions
- 2.2 lbs sausage
- 1 lb 12 oz potatoes
- 2 lemons (organic)
- 1 1/4 cups onion
- to taste salt
- to taste extra virgin olive oil
- to taste rosemary

Steps
Peel and slice the onion, then peel, rinse and cut the potatoes into large chunks.
Gather everything in a large bowl, season with salt, add a good drizzle of oil, add grated lemon zest, pepper and fresh or dried rosemary. Mix well.
Portion the sausage and cut it into pieces, place it in a bowl together with the lemon slices, mix and let marinate for 10 minutes. Arrange all the ingredients in the baking dish and cook in a hot oven at 392°F for 40-45 minutes, turning only once and gently.
The oven-baked sausage with potatoes, onions and lemon is ready to be served.
You can replace the lemon with orange or with 100 ml of white wine.
Oven-baked sausage with potatoes, onions and lemon should be eaten immediately, while still hot. If there are leftovers, store them in the refrigerator in a tightly closed airtight container and consume within 24 hours.
