Air Fryer Roasted Onions

  • 1.1 lbs onions
  • 1 pinch salt
  • to taste pepper
  • 1 pinch dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

How to Cook Onions in the Air Fryer

  • To prepare air fryer roasted onions, start by peeling the onions. If using round onions (golden, white, or red), cut them into slices about 1/2 inch thick (1). If using flat onions, cut them in half. Line the basket of the air fryer with appropriate paper, then place onion slices next to each other (2). Season with about a tablespoon of oil and a tablespoon of vinegar; to distribute them best, you can use an oil sprayer (3) or a kitchen brush.

  • Add a pinch of salt, a grind of pepper, and a pinch of dried oregano (4). Cook the onions in the air fryer at 338°F for 10 minutes. Check the cooking level and, if needed, continue for another 2 minutes. When they are soft and golden, remove the basket (5) and let them cool.

Storage

You can store the onions in the fridge, in a glass container, for about 3 days.
