Quick Pan-Zucchini

in

When I need a simple, quickly ready side dish, I often make these quick pan zucchini, a perfect everyday recipe and especially ideal in spring, when zucchini are back in season. It’s a light, wholesome dish for anyone looking for a practical idea on how to cook zucchini in a pan in little time, without complicated steps.
These quick and light pan zucchini are made with few ingredients and a fast cooking method that yields a soft, aromatic side dish. They’re light because they are not fried and require little oil: during cooking I add a splash of water and cover the pan, so the zucchini cook gently, staying soft and delicate without excess fat.
To flavor them I use garlic, but if you prefer a sweeter taste you can substitute it with a little onion. The recipe is also easy to customize: you can enrich it with herbs such as parsley, basil, thyme, oregano, mint or chives to suit your taste.
If you are looking for more flavorful or traditional versions, you can also try zucchine alla poverella, Sicilian-style zucchini or zucchini caponata, recipes with a slightly more structured preparation but still simple.
However, this quick pan zucchini recipe remains the most practical solution when you want to serve a fast zucchini side dish, light and ready in minutes.
