Banana and Raisin Pound Cake Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp butter (soft)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup banana (ripe)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 packet baking powder
  • 1/3 cup sultana raisins

Banana and Raisin Pound Cake Steps

  • When you decide to make this dessert, take the butter out in advance so it reaches room temperature. Also, soak the raisins in warm water. When the butter is soft, work it with the sugar using a fork; if you want to speed up, you can do this with an electric mixer.

  • Mash the ripe banana with a fork and add it to the butter and sugar mixture. Start blending, then after a few minutes, add the egg, pour in the milk gradually, and slowly add the flour sifted with the baking powder. Continue to blend to mix all the ingredients well.

  • Take the drained and well-dried raisins, lightly flour them, and add them to the mixture. Stir with a spatula or wooden spoon.

  • Line the pound cake mold with parchment paper or you can also butter and flour it, your choice. Pour the mixture into the mold and bake at 340°F for about 50/55 minutes. Always adjust with your oven, when the time is up, do the toothpick test before taking it out of the oven.
