Having an aperitif has become increasingly frequent among young people. Today I propose an easy and quick recipe: croutons with garlic butter. Melty slices of bread that you eat with your hands, perfect for all occasions when you need to organize an aperitif at home. In fact, you only need a few simple ingredients that you usually have at home. Other crouton recipes that you will surely enjoy.

Ingredients for Croutons with Garlic Butter
- 1 baguette (or rustic bread)
- 4 cloves garlic
- 3/4 cup parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 pinch pepper
- 7 oz mozzarella (or mixed cheeses)
- 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
Steps for Croutons with Garlic Butter
First, preheat the oven to 375°F.
Prepare the flavored butter by putting the softened butter in a bowl with finely chopped parsley and garlic cloves. If you like, you can use a food processor to blend everything very finely.
Add the salt and pepper (optional). Mix until all the ingredients are well combined.
Now slice the bread, and spread each slice with the butter cream. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place a slice of mozzarella or other cheese of your choice on top of each bread slice.
Bake for about 10 minutes or until the mozzarella or chosen cheese is melted and the bread is crispy. If you desire more browning on the cheese, place the tray at the top and turn on the grill. Just a few minutes, otherwise the cheese burns too much.
If you have an air fryer, you can use that. Preheat the air fryer for 4 minutes, put in the croutons, and cook for 8 minutes.
Serve them hot at the table and enjoy your meal.
