Ingredients for Gluten-Free Orange Cake

  • 1 orange (organic)
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups rice flour
  • 3/4 cups corn starch
  • 1/2 cup rice milk (can be replaced with regular milk)
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seed oil
  • 1 packet gluten-free baking powder

Steps for Gluten-Free Orange Cake

  • Wash the orange well and dry it, place the fruit in a food processor cut into pieces without removing the peel. If there are seeds, remove them with the tip of a knife. Start the processor and blend very well.

  • In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until you get a foamy mixture, add the orange pulp and mix.

  • Slowly pour in the milk, then the oil, continuing to mix add the flours and finally the baking powder, continue to mix to incorporate all the ingredients well.

  • Line a 9.5-inch cake pan with parchment paper and pour the mixture inside. Bake in a preheated fan oven, at 350 °F for about 35 minutes. Always adjust based on your oven, before taking it out do the toothpick test.

  • Once cooked, take it out of the oven, brush the surface of the cake with orange marmalade diluted with a teaspoon of water and slightly heated on the stove.
