When I’m not in the mood to prepare elaborate dishes, my mind turns to an easy and quick main course like these gorgonzola and speck crostini. They are also the perfect solution to use up stale bread. If you don’t have speck, you can use bacon. Ideal to present as an appetizer or starter during a dinner with friends.

Steps for Gorgonzola and Speck Crostini
This is truly a very simple recipe, and it requires just a few ingredients that we usually have at home. If you’re not a skilled cook but want to impress your guests, this recipe is for you. The servings are for 4 people, but if you have more guests, just cut more bread.
If you have rustic bread, cut 4 slices and then cut 3 crostini from each slice.
Spread each crostino generously with gorgonzola. If you don’t like spicy gorgonzola, you can use the sweeter, milder version, or even gorgonzola with mascarpone. Feel free to choose…
If the speck slices are long, cut them in half and wrap them around the bread slice.
Place the stuffed bread slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, side by side.
Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for about 10 minutes. Now the gorgonzola and speck crostini are ready to be enjoyed… Enjoy your meal!
