The air fryer fennel cutlets are a very tasty and delightful side dish. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, they melt in your mouth. The cutlets are flavored with sweet paprika and garlic, but other spices such as turmeric or curry can also be used.

Ingredients
- 1 fennel
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- to taste gluten-free breadcrumbs
- salt
- to taste extra virgin olive oil

Steps
Slice the fennel to a thickness of about 0.4 inches. Soak in cold water and clean well, removing any dirt. Dry with paper towels.
Crack an egg into a bowl, add a pinch of salt and beat with a fork. In another container, add the breadcrumbs and spices. Mix well.
Salt the fennel slices and dip them first in the egg and then in the breadcrumbs. Place the breaded slices in the air fryer’s basket.
Oil lightly and cook for 30-35 minutes at about 375°F until fully golden.
Serve hot.
Tips
To speed up cooking in the air fryer, you can blanch the fennel for 5 minutes in boiling water before breading.
