Eton Mess a typical English dessert. The word Mess in English means confusion, disorder and refers to the way this dessert is prepared, a mix of strawberries, whipped cream, meringues crumbled, sugar. Any other seasonal fruit such as peaches, raspberries, plums, apricots can be used. Eton mess, literally Eton mess takes its name from Eton College where this dessert was served during the annual cricket match against Harrow School. This dessert is very delicious and elegant and can be prepared in 5 minutes, excluding the preparation of the meringues that you can buy at the bakery or baker. Also try the strawberry macarons!!! Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh whipping cream
- 1.8 oz meringues
- 1.1 lbs strawberries
- 4 tbsps powdered sugar
- 1/2 lemon
- 2 tbsps chopped pistachios

Steps
Rinse the strawberries under running water. Pat them dry with kitchen paper and remove the stem. Set aside 8 strawberries for decoration.
Chop the remaining strawberries and place them in a bowl with the powdered sugar and the grated zest of 1/2 lemon. Mix well with a spoon and let it rest for 30 minutes.
In the meantime, crumble the meringues coarsely and whip the very cold cream with an electric mixer.
Place the crumbled meringues in the whipped cream and gently mix with a spatula.
In 8 single servings, make a layer of strawberries, add the cream, another layer of strawberries, and finish with the cream.
Decorate with a whole strawberry for each serving and a bit of chopped pistachios.
Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.

Tips
It keeps for one day in the refrigerator, but the strawberries will tend to release their juice and soften.
To whip the cream, I recommend placing the mixer beaters and bowl in the freezer for 15 minutes.
