Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 orange (zest)
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1 pinch cinnamon powder
- 1 1/4 cups flour (Nutrifree bread flour)
- 1 tbsp baking powder for gluten-free desserts
- 2/3 cup water
- 4 cups peanut oil
- as needed sugar
Tools

- 1 Whisk
- 1 Pot
- 1 Slotted Spoon
- 1 Plate
Steps
In a bowl, whip the sugar with the egg and the flavors (except the cinnamon) using an electric mixer..
When the mixture is smooth and fluffy, stop and add the water.
Mix well at a low speed and add the flour.
Blend the mixture, removing any lumps, still mixing with the mixer at low speed.
Heat the oil to 340°F.
Using two spoons, scoop some dough and form balls.
Place them in the hot oil and fry until golden brown over medium heat.
Drain with a slotted spoon onto a sheet of paper towel.
Immediately roll in the cinnamon-flavored sugar.
Continue in the same way until the dough is finished.
