Gluten-Free Yogurt Bread in Air Fryer

in ,

The gluten-free yogurt bread is super soft and can also be rolled. Very easy and quick, I cooked it in the air fryer, but it can also be baked in the oven. Made with Greek yogurt, which can be substituted with plant-based yogurt, making it suitable for those who are lactose intolerant.

  • 2 cups flour (Nutrifree bread mix)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (or soy-based yogurt)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/2 tsp dry yeast

Tools

  • 1 Bowl
  • 1 Metal scraper

Steps

  • In a bowl, pour the flour and yeast, and mix.

Add the yogurt and a pinch of salt. Knead until a smooth and homogeneous dough is formed.

Let rise until doubled in size.

Transfer to a lightly floured surface and divide into 6 parts, forming balls.

Preheat the air fryer or alternatively a non-stick grill. Roll out the first ball to a thickness of 1/16 inch.

Transfer to the air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes at 392°F.

Remove from the basket and place inside a towel and keep covered. Proceed with the remaining dough in the same way.

The gluten-free yogurt bread can be stored in the fridge wrapped in cling film, and it can also be frozen. Before consuming, it is recommended to heat it for a few minutes in a pan or in the air fryer.
