Roasted Cauliflower

Roasted cauliflower is a very simple and versatile dish as it can be seasoned in many ways, from fresh herbs to spices like paprika or curry. Moreover, it can be paired with many dishes, from meat to fish and vegetarian dishes, because the taste of cauliflower is very delicate.

Ingredients

  • 1 cauliflower
  • to taste extra virgin olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper
  • sesame seeds

Tools

  • 1 Pot

Steps

  • Prepare a large pot full of water and bring it to the stove.

    In the meantime, clean the cauliflower by removing any leaves, if present, which can be reused for a soup.

    Rinse the cauliflower thoroughly under running water.

    Before the water comes to a boil, immerse the cauliflower.

    Let it cook for 5 minutes.

    Drain and let it cool slightly.

    Cut 2 slices.

    Season them with oil, salt, and pepper.

    Preheat a pan and as soon as it’s very hot, add the first slice.

    Sear both sides on high heat, about 5 minutes.

    Remove the cauliflower slice and keep warm, proceed in the same way with the other slice.

    Serve with toasted sesame seeds.

Advice

You can flavor with herbs or paprika.

It keeps up to 1 day in the refrigerator.
