The winter mixed salad is made with radicchio, red apples, pomegranate, raspberries, and walnuts. It’s light and perfect for a detox day, to accompany herbal teas and detox drinks. The pomegranate is considered a magical fruit, raspberries an elixir of wellness, the apple a nature’s medicine, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, walnuts are an important natural supplement of omega 3 and finally radicchio is an ally for our defenses, a mix of wellness, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants for our body gathered in a very simple salad to prepare.

Ingredients
- 1 Red Delicious apple (Stark)
- 1 head red radicchio di Treviso IGP, early
- 1 pomegranate
- 6 walnuts
- 4.4 oz raspberries
- 1 lemon
- 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- salt
- pepper

Steps
Wash and dry the apple with paper towels. Cut the apple into 4 wedges and remove the central core. Slice it thinly, about 0.08 inches thick, then cut each slice into sticks about 0.08 inches wide. Cut the radicchio in half lengthwise. Then cut it into julienne strips.
Deseed the pomegranate and open the walnuts.
Arrange the apple, radicchio, pomegranate, raspberries, and walnuts on a serving platter.
In a bowl, prepare a dressing with oil, salt, pepper, and lemon.
Pour the dressing over the salad and mix well.
