Preparation of Buttery Christmas Shortbread Cookies
Let’s see how to prepare the cookies.
In a bowl, add the flour, the butter at room temperature, the baking powder, the sugar, and the egg yolks. Knead with your hands until you get a smooth and homogeneous dough, let it rest in the fridge for 30 minutes covered with plastic wrap. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin, creating a sheet about a quarter-inch thick. Cut the dough with cookie cutters, place the cookies on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10/15 minutes, they should be slightly golden.
The cookies keep for up to 7/8 days in a closed container.
