- 1 Small Star Cookie Cutter

Preparation Steps for Christmas Canapés with Pesto
Use the large Cookie Cutters to cut the sandwich bread; you need 2 slices per canapé. Then take the small Cookie Cutters and cut out the center of half of them to form a window. Spread pesto on the whole slice, then cover with the slice with the window. Decorate the trees with pomegranate seeds or alternatively with capers.
Notes
If you don’t like pesto, you can also fill them with tuna sauce. If you prepare them well in advance, keep them refrigerated and covered with plastic wrap. Remove from the refrigerator half an hour before serving.
