Ingredients for Christmas Tree Cake with Orange and Chocolate
- 2.75 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1 cup Sugar
- 3.4 fl oz Orange juice
- 0.6 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 container Orange yogurt
- Zest of 1 orange
- 4 Eggs
- 4.2 oz 70% Dark Chocolate
- 1 packet Baking powder
- 1 pinch Salt
- as needed Colored sugar sprinkles
Tools
- 1 Bowl
- 1 Whisk
- 1 Mold
Steps
Let’s see how to prepare the Christmas Tree cake. In a bowl, beat well with a whisk the eggs, granulated sugar, and grated zest until it becomes a nice fluffy mixture, then add the vegetable oil, orange juice, and yogurt, mixing well. Gradually pour in the sifted flour and baking powder, always mixing, add a pinch of salt and finally add the chopped dark chocolate. Pour the mixture into the tree-shaped mold, cover with colored sugar sprinkles. Bake in the preheated oven and cook at 356°F for 45/50 minutes. When ready, let it cool before removing from the mold; if the mold is made of paper, you can leave it there and slice it like panettone.
Notes
I used chopped dark chocolate. I like larger pieces, but you can easily use chocolate chips. If needed during baking, add the colored sugar sprinkles. The cake can be stored in a closed container or simply in the oven for 4/5 days.
