Preparation of Christmas Tree Appetizer
Let’s see how to prepare our appetizer.
Roll out the puff pastry leaving it on its parchment paper, and cut the dough into a tree shape with a knife. Spread the tomato sauce, seasoned with salt and oregano, with a spoon. Place the slices of cooked ham and cover with the other sheet of puff pastry, cutting it like the bottom one. Seal the edges well with a fork. Brush with beaten egg and decorate with olives and cherry tomatoes.
Once you’ve sealed the edges well, place in the hot oven and bake at 355°F for about 15/18 minutes or until the desired golden brown.
Notes
You can prepare it in advance and warm it up before serving, so it will be nice and crispy. You can also add tomatoes or capers for decoration.
